Join The Guemes Island Library Board!
The Guemes Island Library has a volunteer position open on its board. The position available is for Secretary. Position includes attending monthly meetings (except July/August/December), taking minutes of those meetings, distributing those minutes (by email) and various other duties.
The Guemes Island Library Board works hard to maintain and keep materials in the library, coordinate volunteers, facilitate the annual Dog Island Run, and, of course, keep the library open on a regular schedule. Members of the Guemes Island Library Board are a capable, efficient, qualified, diverse, friendly group of Guemes citizens that would welcome a new member to work with. For information or questions phone: Carol Pellett, 293-8128, firstname.lastname@example.org
The Guemes Island Library Needs You!
Guemes Island Library Volunteer recognition dessert. Some of our current volunteers: From the left, Bruce Rooney, Anne Casperson, Wendy McDougal, Sandy Lane,Terry Ebersole, Bonnie Flory, MJ Andrak, Carol Pellett, Anne Jackets, Susan Rombeek, Jackie O'Neil, with Anne McCracken and Marla Hovey in front.
The Guemes Island Library needs YOU to be generous with your time by volunteering at the library.
We'll show you how to use our new catalog and circulation system so that you can help patrons find what they are looking for, issue library cards and check books in and out. You can choose the day and time you volunteer that fits your schedule.
Volunteers are an integral part in keeping the library doors open. Last year we were able to open the Guemes Island Library on Friday afternoons in addition to Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. One more day each week for patrons to use the computer, make copies, print documents and check out books, DVDs, videotapes, audio books and CDs.
Please consider becoming a volunteer. If you have any questions or want to find out how to get started, please contact me.
