The 16th Annual Dog Island Run 2013
The weather could not have been better. Slightly overcast, and mild, the runners and walkers were excited to start the race!
With lightening speed, Curtis Easton was first across the finish line with a time of 35:57. This is the fifth time Curtis has taken first place in the Dog Island 10K. Miran McCash captured the women’s title with an equally impressive finish of 45:29.
The event was well attended, with over 160 participants. Many thanks to Skagit Runners, the Guemes Island Fire Department & Library, Rosario Assisted Living (shuttle), Crystal Mountain Water, PSE, LineTime, and all of our volunteers that made this event a huge success. All proceeds benefit the Guemes Island Library.
